Hardy and Croton Ponds:
Impoundments of the Muskegon River, with Hardy being the largest
impounded body of water in Michigan. Beautiful views, good fishing, sailing, boating
and water skiing.
Lake White Cloud: 7 acre
impoundment of the White River within easy walking or bicycling.
Offers a public beach, fishing, picnicking and playground equipment for the kids.
North Country
Trail (hiking): Starts just south of White Cloud and winds through
the country side for twenty miles. COMING SOON! In cooperation with
the Sierra Club, a centrally located north/south trailhead is to be
established.
Flowing Well Park:
A municipal picnic park with natural mineral springs.
Big Prairie
Desert: Once
the largest desert east of the Mississippi River. Now a stately pine forest fully
reclaimed.
White Cloud Airport: Blacktopped,
lighted runway located at north end of city.
Tennis: Public courts at
the elementary school across the street from park entrance.
Bowling: Located at the
north end of the city just north of the airport.
Canoeing: Numerous canoe
liveries in area
Sailors Virgin Pine Forest:
Located near Croton dam impoundment. The only remaining stand of virgin pine
in area.
Snowmobile trails: Main
trail starts 5 miles north of White Cloud.
